Sardine Pouches

Sardine Pouches function perfectly as a toiletry bag or pencil case. They are unlined Cotton Convas with hand-set copper rivets and a Brass Talon Zipper. Take it on vacation or your daily commute. Canvas will soften and colors will fade slightly after washing.

Care: Wash by hand with cold water. Hang in shade to dry. 

A Note About Indigo Stripe & Indigo Cross: These fabrics are printed and dyed by a family of textile artists in Western India. The stripes and crosses are block printed by hand with resist paste onto undyed canvas, which is then submerged into the indigo dye vat up to twenty times to achieve a dark blue. The process yields a perfectly imprecise print, evidence of its handmade nature.

Indigo fabric loves to share its color—so during the first few washes, expect some natural fading and dye release. This is how that classic “denim” look with rich texture and grain develops over time. Until the color settles in, wash your indigo pieces separately by hand in cold water, and hang them to dry in the shade (no sunbathing just yet). Heads up: indigo can rub off onto lighter fabrics, so choose your outfit companions wisely!
